Master Bath Design and Remodel

Fred Brecht was one of the many contractors that we got bids from for our master bath remodel, but Fred stood out from the beginning. Fred asked many questions before we ever met so he had a good idea about what we wanted. We were impressed with his credentials, but his philosophy of how he works was a selling point. Having just completed another bath remodel with a different contractor, we liked hearing that he believed it was important to keep the area cleaned up each day, AND seal off the construction on days it was going to get messy, so the rest of the house stayed clean. He also promised to be working on the construction daily until the work was completed. Another great selling point for us.

Then Fred went to see the master bathroom area. After only a couple minutes he stated very confidently what he recommended. None of the other contractors came up with the same design, or one that worked so well for what our needs were. Fred worked patiently with us until we had the plan perfect and had picked out the exact fixtures, granite, and vanities that we wanted.

Fred was true to his word… his employees came daily; were always conscientious of keeping the area clean and preventing the rest of the house from getting messy; and he coordinated all deliveries, outside contractors, and inspections on time… so we seldom had down time. In fact we finished according to his ‘time line’, except for shower faucets that had to come from Germany . Fred even arranged for loaners until they arrived.

Fred’s employees were extremely nice, polite, and enjoyable, as well as very competent on all the work they did. I had no problem trusting to be in our home when we had to be out.

Fred talked in length on our first meeting about is guarantee to make sure we were happy with our master bath remodel and would fix anything until we were happy. We had one mistake occur on the finished height of the shower seat. Fred was true to his word and even though it was noticed after the shower door was put in, he made sure it was redone to the agreed height at no cost to us.

We are EXTREMELY happy with the finished remodel job of our master bath, added closes, and skylight.
